Argentine Festival USA 2026
Dear Members of Capital Tangueros,
The Argentine Festival USA will celebrate its 39th edition on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Kenmore Auditorium in Arlington, Virginia. The Festival runs from 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM, as part of its ongoing “Road to 40” cultural milestone marking nearly four decades of continuous artistic and community presence in the Washington metropolitan region.
Although the Festival embraces multiple expressions of Argentine culture, tango remains a central artistic pillar within its annual program — presented not only as stage performance, but as a living social tradition within the diaspora.
The 2026 tango program will feature Marina Bellani & Jonathan Fernandes, presenting tango milonguero rooted in traditional porteño style, alongside the internationally recognized tango couple Alexey & Liza, known for their refined technique and contemporary interpretation grounded in classical Argentine tango vocabulary.
Recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, tango continues to serve as a bridge across generations and cultures. Through its annual presentation, the Argentine Festival USA contributes to preserving and strengthening tango within the Argentine-American and broader arts communities.
The Festival has been officially Declared of Cultural Interest by the Secretariat of Culture of the Presidency of the Argentine Nation, recognizing its sustained cultural work and long-standing contribution to promoting Argentine arts abroad.
Admission tickets are available at www.tickeri.com. Festival admission includes entry into a community raffle for two round-trip airline tickets to Argentina, courtesy of Copa Airlines.
The Argentine Festival USA is presented under the auspices of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic, with support from Arlington Cultural Affairs (Arlington County) and community partners.
