Publications

Most of the items listed here are Philippine-centered, particularly focused on the eighteenth century in areas outside of Manila.  Most are less theoretical, closely linked to sources.  The most common source for the documents are Franciscan manuscripts from the Archivo Franciscano Ibero-Americano (Madrid), but I also used items from archives elsewhere in Spain; in the United States and Mexico; and in the Philippines, particularly the Philippine National Archives.  Archivists and librarians have been exceptionally kind and generous with their time and expertise and I appreciate their generosity and knowledge.
