Beautiful lake with Crystal Crag behind the lake. There is a small boat launch (fee). if you want to launch for free, you can carry your SUP / canoe / kayak up the East shore a short distance. The parking lot can fill up, so it's good to get there early.
Lake George is an excellent place to kayak, canoe, or SUP.

Lake George is located in Mammoth Lakes, California. Lake George is in the Mammoth Lakes Basin and offers many outdoor activities including kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, and hiking.
There is a campground by Lake George.
Hiking: Lake George is a great starting point for many hiking trails in the area, including the trail up to Crystal Lake.
Lake George is the highest road-accessible lake in the Lakes Basin. In winter, you can only access the lake by ski or snowshoe. The best time to visit is from late May through October, as heavy snowfall can make roads impassable in the winter.
