There is a popular launch and several kayak / SUP rental places right off of PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) in Sunset Beach. (Parking is a little tough here - see some of my other spots below for better launch spots if you have your own kayak or SUP)
You can also launch at the Sunset Marina boat launch -(I have some better launch spots that follow after this)
A better spot to launch is Seabridge Park: By Seabridge Park, you can launch from the small beach which is popular for swimming, sun bathing, and launching paddle boards and kayaks. The beach is south east from the parking area. From the Seabridge Park parking area, you can also launch off the mud North West from the parking area off of Portifino Cir. There is a shower and restroom at Seabridge Park.
