Gull Lake

Gull Lake along the June Lake Loop is small lake that makes for an excellent paddle in a kayak, canoe or SUP.

There are several spots to launch.

Gull Lake Marina boat launch - This is easiest spot to launch your kayak, canoe or SUP is the Gull Lake Marina boat launch.  The Gull Lake Marina boat launch is free.   To reach the Gull Lake Marina boat launch, turn off the June Lake Loop at Gull Lake Road.  Take Gull Lake Road to E Granite Avenue and turn left onto  E Granite Avenue.  Take  E Granite Avenue to Gull Lake Marina and turn left into the marina where  E Granite Avenue turns right.   The Gull Lake Marina boat launch is at the far South end of the parking lot.

Gull Meadows Car Top Boat Launch - The Inyo National Forest - Gull Meadows Car Top Boat Launch is a free launch for kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards.   It is located at the end of Gull Meadows Road.  It is a fairly easy place to launch from.   However it isn't quite as easy to launch here as at the Gull Lake Marina boat launch.  If the Gull Lake Marina boat launch is very busy, this may be a good choice for launching.

Gull Lake Campground Road - This is a fairly easy spot to launch especially if you are staying in the Gull Lake campground and have a spot right on Gull Lake.  However, there is a sign that sates that day use isn't permitted in the Gull Lake campground.  Unless you are camping in the Gull Lake campground, it is better to use one of the other launch spots.
