Channel Road - East Balboa Blvd - Kayak or SUP Launch Newport Beach (Kid Beach)

Newport Beach Balboa Peninsula places to launch kayak or stand up paddle board SUP.

On the Balboa Peninsula side of the bay there is an excellent spot to launch which is also very close to the harbor mouth.

Take Balboa Blvd all the way to the end which then turns into Channel Road. Over on your left side you will see a small public pier and a beach. You can launch from the beach or pier for free. Parking is free but sometimes hard to find. You take West Balboa blvd to East Balboa Blvd to Channel Road. If you can't find a place to park, you can launch a little bit farther from the harbor mouth at some small beaches at some other road ends off of Balboa Blvd. The launch spot is right by where East Balboa Blvd becomes Channel Road.

You can launch off of the public beach or the public pier here.

There is also a cold water public shower at the beach by this launch spot.

Kid Beach kayak and SUP launch - The beach you launch from here is sometimes called Kid Beach - here is a map link to Kid Beach. The best parking spot is in front of the house at 2117 E Balboa Blvd right before Balboa Blvd changes to Channel Road.
