The Spanish IV final is worth 143 points. The following is a description of the 3 sections of the test & suggestions (= sugerencias) for preparing. Bring your Spanish binder, Spanish Verbs, a #2 pencil, unused bathroom passes & any remaining participation points w/ you to class. I urge you to study w/ one or more classmates, as having talked through the concepts will serve you well at the time of the exam.
I. Writing (40 pts.): Una comparación de dos cuadros
Your essay should be between 3-4 paragraphs. You will begin by creating a Venn Diagram in Spanish as a means of organizing your interpretation of the 2 paintings. Your writing will be scored using a rubric which means that overall quality of thought & expression is very important. The rubric's 4 categories are: 1) the thoroughness of your Venn Diagram; 2) the vital details you mention about each painting using key art terminology; 3) your organization of their similarities & differences; 4) mechanics -- varied sophisticated sentence structure & accurate grammar & spelling.
