MRS. ELLEN MCLATCHIE

Mrs. Ellen Langford McLatchie,

widow of Mr. James McLatchie, of

McKellar Townsite,  died yesterday

in a local hospital after a lingering

illness. She was born in the Town-

ship of Hull 69 years ago, a daugh-

ter of the late Richard Langford,

and lived the greater part of her

life in the Ottawa district. Mrs Mc-

Latchie was a Methodist, and

though of a quiet and retiring na-

ture was highly esteemed among a

large circle of friends for her many

fine qualities. Left to mourn her

are two daughters, Mrs G.B.

Watt, Montreal; Nursing Sister

Hazel McLatchie, of the Lady Grey

Hospital, and two sons, Messrs. Ells-

worth and Arthur McLatchie, of

Montreal, and two sisters Mrs. J.

R. Campbell and Mrs. E. Wright,

both of Ottawa. Her husband, Mr.

James McLatchie, predeceased her

by two years. The funeral will

take place from the residence of

her sister, Mrs. J.R. Campbell, 3

Chesley avenue, on Saturday after-

noon at 3.15 o'clock to Beechwood

cemetery. The service will be at

three o'clock.
