Eva Mary Barber, arrière-petite-fille de Joseph Barber et d’Elizabeth Twamley, épouse Robert Milton Freeman le 6 juillet 1912 à Chelsea. Robert Milton Freeman est le benjamin de la famille de William Freeman et de Margaret Hardy. Cette famille de fermier bien connu de Hull avait une ferme sur le chemin Freeman.
Robert Milton a été conseiller municipal de Hull Ouest de 1921 à 1922. Il a par la suite été maire de Hull Ouest de 1923 à 1936 et de 1939 à 1950. Il décède le 19 novembre 1953 à l'hôpital de Wakefield et est inhumé au cimetière Pinecrest.

For 28 Years,
R. M. Freeman Dies
Robert Milton Freeman, former mayor of West Hull and a lifelong resident of Ironsides, died in hospital at Wakefield this morning following a lengthy illness. He was 66.
A son of the late William Freeman and his wife, the former Margaret Hardy, Mr. Freeman was well known through-out the Gatineau district where he farmed and operated a lumber business most of his life.
Mr. Freeman always showed a keen interest in municipal affairs and held the post of mayor of West Hull for 28 years until he was defeated two years ago. He was also a past Warden of Gatineau County.
Mr. Freeman was prominently connected with the Masonic Order for many years. He was a member of Eddy Lodge, GRQ, No. 41, Carleton Chapter NO. 16, Ottawa Preceptory No. 32, Knights Templar, Karnac Temple, of Montreal, and the Laurentian Shrine Club.
He attended Chelsea United Church.
In 1912 he married the former Evelyn Barber, who survives.
Also surviving are: One son, William, of Ironsides; one daughter, Mrs. D. S. Purdy (Ruth), Ottawa; two brothers, William, of Calgary, and Jack of Edmonton; three sisters, Mrs. F. T. Cross, Ottawa; Mrs. Sarah Fraser, Edmonton, and Mrs. Joe Elliott, San Francisco, and four grandchildren.
The body is at Hulse and Playfair Ltd., where Rev. John Sherman will conduct the funeral service in the chapel Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be at Pinecrest cemetery.
