Jane Helena Barber, arrière-petite-fille de Joseph Barber et d’Elizabeth Twamley, épouse William Watson Hammond fils de James Hammond et de Mary Jane Beattie. La famille Hammond a habité au 951 boulevard Saint-Joseph, Hull. Malheureusement, la maison a été détruite afin de faire place à un terrain de stationnement.
William Watson a été conseiller municipal de Hull Ouest de 1922 à 1935 pendant que son beau-frère Robert Milton Freeman était maire. Il est décédé le 23 juin 1935 alors qu'il était maire de Hull Ouest. Il a été inhumé le 26 juin 1935 au cimetière Beechwood d'Ottawa.

Many Attend Funeral Of W. Watson Hammond
Final tribute to the memory of W. Watson Hammond, well-known Ironside resident, was paid by a large number of friends from the Ironside and Gatineau district at his funeral, held yesterday afternoon.
Rev. T. J. Vickery and Rev. F. S. Milliken conducted the service at the home, and burial was made in Beechwood cemetery.
Mr. Hammond died on Sunday as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident the previous Sunday. His wife, formerly Miss Jennie Barber, predeceased him by four years.
Chief mourners and survivors were four children, James, Jean, Neiland and Felton Hammond: three brothers, Dr. J. F. Hammond, of St. Paul, Minn.; Ruggles Hammond, of Beverly Hills, California, and Gordon Hammond, at home; four sisters, Mrs. E. Stewart, Templeton; Mrs. C. P. Ludington, Ottawa; Mrs. R. E. Harry, Ottawa, and Mrs. W. E. Scott, of Montreal.
Among the many floral offerings were pieces from Municipal Council, West Hull; Chelsea Sunday School, Protestant School Board, Chelsea; Success Chapter, Eastern Star, and staff and pupils of Hull Intermediate School.
