Mrs. Christina Adelaide

Campbell, widow of John B.

Campbell, of 289 Summit ave-

nue died in hospital yesterday

after a short illness. She was

82.

Born at Chelsea, Que., daugh-

ter of Richard Langford and

his wife Ann Barber, she was

educated there, and came to

Ottawa, 65 years ago. In 1901

she married John Robertson

Campbell at Bell's Corners. He

died in 1938.

She was a member of South-

minster United Church and the

Women's Christian Temperance

Union.

Surviving are four sons,

Richard Kenneth, Toronto; John

Robertson, Niagara Falls;

Donald James, North Bay; and

Wilmer S,. Aurora; three daugh-

ters, Mrs S. Gladwin (Muriel)

and Mrs A. Ponting (Doris),

and Mrs. G. Hunt (Rosamond),

all of Ottawa; 16 grandchildren;

14 great-grandchildren and

several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Hulse and

Playfair Ltd., 315 McLeod

street. Service will be held in

the chapel Saturday at 3 p.mp

conducted by Rev. Dr. Charles

Donald. Interment will be at

Pinecrest cemetery.
