Pool, Clubhouse & Spa

The clubhouse is once again open for rentals. Contact Community Management's Customer Service Desk at cs@communitymanagement.com to reserve it for use. (4/2022)

June 2024

It is summer and our pool is an attractive addition to our complex. Sometimes, young people from the apartments behind our property will try to climb over the fence and swim in it. Do not approach these people directly. Instead, call the police as this is trespassing. Leave any confrontations up the professionals trained to do so.

Clubhouse Agreement rev 2019.pdf

Clubhouse Key/Security Agreement

The rental rate for the clubhouse is $75.00 and there is a $150.00 security deposit to be used in the event of the loss of the key or damages to the clubhouse. Both the rental fee and deposit must be paid in the form of two (2) separate checks. The Security Deposit check will be shredded once the clubhouse is inspected.

Both checks should be made payable to Cherrywood HOA and sent, along with the completed Security Agreement, to Community Management Services (the address is on the form).

Please note that the clubhouse is available on a first come first serve basis (meaning the first person to turn in the the contract and checks gets the date).

Pool / Gate Key

The pool key also opens the clubhouse and all the pedestrian gates. Keys can be obtained from CMS (contact Tanya Ruiz). The cost is $25 for the first key, and any additional keys are $100 each.

January 2022

The door between the jacuzzi and the [ool does not close completely on its own. Please be sure to pull it closed behind you and make sure that it can't easily be pulled open again.

November 2021

The power to the women's restroom has been restored, so the Clubhouse is now available for rent again. Residents and guests are required to follow the Santa Clara County COVID-19 mandates. You will be asked to acknowledge this by signing a compliance agreement. If you want to make reservations, please contact Customer Service at CMS (cs@communitymanagement.com)

Though the pool will not be closed, but the heat for it has been turned off until Spring 2022.

It has been discovered that several residents are propping open the spa door which is against Cherrywood HOA Rules & Regulations. Often this is not discovered until the next day leaving our clubhouse at risk.

Thanks to an alert homeowner, Sunnyvale police were on property not long ago arresting 2 nighttime intruders exiting the spa who were under the influence.

Propping the spa door open provides access to homeless and non-residents of Cherrywood to avail themselves to our spa, restrooms and showers undetected. It also allows animals into the clubhouse. It's been discovered we have resident possums and raccoons, only seen at night, along with other daytime critters.

Violation letters will be sent to homeowners when they are identified propping open the spa door following the protocol in the CC&Rs.

Cherrywood spa and restrooms were recently upgraded for the enjoyment of our residents. When using these immunities please review the Swimming Pool and Spa Rules in Rules & Regulations. If you have misplaced your copy of the Rules & Regulations, please request another from Tanya Ruiz, Cherrywood's Property Manager. Below is the section for the Pool and Spa.

Pool Area & Spa Security

For added security, a new alarm system has been installed in the pool area. This is a heat and motion sensor that will sound an audible alarm should anyone enter the pool area or jump the fence to try to enter the clubhouse from the pool area. This alarm is set to be active from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Please do not prop open the spa door to the pool area. Recently someone used a chair to prop open the door and forgot to close it again before leaving. This left the clubhouse wide open and no longer secure.

Pool Access Update (2020)

We recently opened our pool for use again, and it has been a huge success. Over the last month, residents have been able to enjoy the sun and water. The pool has been open starting at 10:00 in the morning with 10 one-hour slots per day. An informal poll of users shows they seem to be excited to have it open again and are self-policing themselves regarding the rules of use.

We have a few announcements and requests.

The sign-up sheet is posted on the clubhouse door. Feel free to sign up for any blank slots the day of. The website pool schedule is posted the night before by 10:00 pm at https://bit.ly/ChrywdPoolSchd

Special Pool Reminder (2020)

After reviewing surveillance monitor footage of the swimming pool area, it is very apparent that not everyone who uses this amenity is abiding by the required Covid-19 rules. At this time, we would like to restate the core rules and ask that everyone abide by the rules or risk losing their pool privileges

We use the surveillance monitors to give our community a greater sense of safety and deter would-be criminals. Alas, we must also use this tool to enforce rules violations during this time. The Covid-19 pandemic is far from over and positive test results are increasing again in our state. Please do your part to help keep yourselves and your neighbors safe.

2020 June Pool Re-Open Rules.pdf

Pool Access (2020)

Recently, Santa Clara County released new guidelines for safe outdoor pool use during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Cherrywood HOA pool reopens on June 16th, 2020, under a new set of pool rules to comply with the County's new guidelines. New pool rules are posted on the clubhouse, in the pool area, here and on the Resource Center page of this website. It is critical for all residents to comply rigorously with the new pool rules. They are in place to keep residents and vendors safe; failure to comply with the rules could lead to the County shutting down the Cherrywood pool. Currently, the new pool rules only permit one resident household/living unit in the pool area at a time. To sign up for a time, drop by the clubhouse door (Garland Terrace South) to reserve a time slot. You can always view the current day's schedule at https://bit.ly/ChrywdPoolSchd
