Intro

1. A Tree breaths in CO2 and breaths out O2, and a.o. we humans, breath in O2 and breath out CO2 and that way the cycle is closed.

2. How much CO2 captures the tree out of the atmosphere ? Thumb rule estimation: cut one adult species, you hold it on your end, I hold on this end and we try to lift it ... probably it won't work as the tree will probably weigh 6 tons ... add to that 4 tons of roots and you get about 10 tons of CO2 that have been turned into Tree.

   1. Conclusion: the owner of that tree can get 10 CO2e-Certificates,

   2. IF the owner can demonstrate that the tree would never have grown there within let's say the first 50 years, because it was Savanne and would have been grazed, or because of water shortage and proper care would never have come there, or it would have been cut down for illegal timber.

   3. IF the tree won't burn in the first 21 years ... the owner must take an insurance in case that happens and turn back the CO2e-Certificates !

3. Conclusion: one of the best Roi projects for CO2e-Certificates... get seed, plant it in slopy / savanne / etc. add a bit of water ... nature will do the rest ... and DON'T DO ANYTHING ... pretty hard for humans, LEAVE IT ALONE. For every ton of CO2 captured, the project gets additional Roi from the generation and sale of CO2e-Certificates, on top of the timber you may get out of it, medicinal plants, oil from oil bearing fruits that you can then turn into biodiesel in an annex project, idem bio-fuel-pellets from waste wood, turn the fruits into food, have an eco-tourism project annex lodge where your customers who bought the CO2-Certicates can come "Tree-hugging"... and you understand how such project becomes a center stone for a whole set-of other projects.
