Christmas is the season of giving.
Black Diamond Recreational 4wd Club Inc. held its Christmas function from the 29th of November – to the 1st of December. All members attending enjoyed a fantastic weekend of entertainment and festivities, an excellent way to catch up and reminisce about all the trips and events of 2024 and plan future adventures in 2025. Members also brought gifts for the Wollongong Lord Mayor Giving Tree. This week, sixty new presents for all ages under 16 will be delivered to a collection point. These gifts will then be distributed to those who matter most at this time of year. Giving joy to someone you may never meet and knowing they are thinking about the kindness they have received from a caring person is very powerful. The Black Diamond Inc. member's community spirit is at its finest at this time.

Started off with a short drive to Steamers Beach Car Park.
From here the walk starts to head out to steamers beach walk took about 2 hrs with everyone starting off together with the exception of myself Lenore and Judy.
From the information that bear gave out prior to the trip that it was a bit hilly some sand walking with great views and from what we were told by the walkers they weren't disappointed how ever perhaps the DFIB should be brought along as well as 3 walkers came back exhausted including the Trip Leader.

Well, the long-awaited Easter trip to Trunkey Creek finally, arrived. Nic & I get up early to make sure we are at the meeting point in plenty of time, arriving 20 minutes early to the welcoming sight of 5 Black Diamond vehicles already in a line eagerly awaiting the trip leaders. JB & Judy slipped away Thursday and are already at the camping ground and Brad had arranged to meet us at Goulburn as it is out of his way to come back to Sally's Corner. With the paperwork and convoy chat complete, the only thing left to do is complete the radio checks as we hit the road bound for Goulburn.

Move over 50 shades of Grey! Yes, there's a new kid on the block.
Black Diamond has been to 'the dam'. [for the Aussie Day long weekend in fact] Was it hot and steamy? Hot yes, steamy, not so much. [although what happens at Wyangala stays at Wyangala]. Was a good time had by all? Yes indeed, despite the torrid weather.
