The Capertee trip is underway after a few months of planning amongst the associated clubs, with the aim of mixing a bit of business with a lot of pleasure. This weekend aimed to bring clubs from different regions together to explore an area that is generally off-limits and to liaise with the National Park ranger from that area. As is the norm, we gathered at the Nungarry Rest area for a 7 am departure to Diamond Digs. A sensational start to the day weather-wise was setting us up for the promise of a good weekend. All on the road without delay and full speed ahead. Tony and Bec were in the lead as Bec is sick of the fines Tony creates as tail end Charlie and Lee and Cydi relegated to the rear, because the old girl has the trailer in tow, carrying the roof parts for the toilets, and other supplies for the working bee and may need to catch her breath on some of the hills.
