January Update

Greetings Band Parents – welcome to 2^nd Semester (after a couple of failed starts). A few announcements / upcoming events:

· Basketball schedule: Friday 1/23, Tuesday 1/27, Tuesday 2/3, Friday 2/6, Friday 2/20. Students attend games based on what they’ve signed up for. Note that the 1/27 and 2/3 are make up games from the “cold/snow” days last week.

· Winter Concert – the winter concert will be February 19^th.

· The band will be hosting another fundraiser with a local restaurant. This time we will be partnering with Dogfather’s at Stearns Crossing, 957 Illinois 59, in Bartlett on Thursday, February 5^th. 20% of receipts will go the band for anyone mentioning BHS Bands anytime on 2/5.

· Uniforms – please have students return their NEW uniforms to the band room by Monday, January 26^th. All parts of the uniform, excluding shoes, should be returned by this date. We are waiting on directions from the district regarding the old uniforms and we will advise how to handle as soon as we know more.

We will hold a band parents meeting at 7:00 pm at the BHS Band Room on 1/27 to highlight schedules and events for the2^nd semester.
