- Concerts
- Fall Concerts begin next week. All band concerts begin at 6:30 pm and will be in the BHS Auditorium.
- Monday, December 11 – Varsity (Freshman) Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, + Eastview Band(s). Students are expected to report ready to go at 5:30 pm for yearbook pictures. Concert attire for Varsity Band is Black Pants or Skirt, White Shirt, Black Socks, Black Shoes. For Concert Band – same attire + optional tie and/or coat.
- Tuesday, December 12 – Symphonic Band, Big Band, + Eastview Band(s). Students are expected to report ready to go at 5:45 pm for yearbook pictures. Concert attire for Symphonic Band is tuxedos / dresses (expect to be distributed today or tomorrow, and billed subsequently).
- Monday, December 18 – BHS Holiday Concert. This will feature a number of bands / ensembles as well as orchestra and choir ensembles. It should be a great, festive show. All proceeds from the evening will go to benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

- Choir Concert – Thursday, 12/7 at 7:00 pm
- Madrigal Dinner Performances – Thursday, 12/14 and Friday, 12/15
- Pep Band – Friday 12/15 (Double header, starting with Varsity Girls at 4:45, followed by Varsity Boys). This game is against South Elgin, so it will, no doubt, be an exciting evening. It is also serving as a Holiday Food Drive, so if you plan to attend, please consider helping the cause.
- Fill the House for the Mouse Bowling Fundraiser – Saturday, 12/9 – We’ve got about 140 people signed up, so it should be a great evening. Also, thank you to all of the great efforts at getting gifts / gift baskets for the event. We received enough great items for more than 60 baskets!! As a result, we’ve separated out a number of items that we’ll put out for an online silent auction. This will open up these items to a much wider audience with the hopes of maximizing revenue for the students. Stay tuned for more details.
- Disney Payments – Student funds from our account were delayed in getting to the vendor. As a result, if you went to make a payment over Thanksgiving weekend, you may not have seen an updated credit for fundraiser balances. These amounts should have been credited during the following week. All student funds to date have been forwarded to the vendor at this time. The next payment is scheduled for January 5 ($300 or lower depending on fundraiser credits). We will work to get the Fill the House funds to the vendor ahead of this payment date. Final payments are due February 9th. Let us know if you have any questions along the way or issues with the online system.
- Uniforms – please make sure uniforms are in the band room. Please remove shoes and any other personal items as we will be sending these out to be cleaned ahead of spring break.
