The Real Abu Ghraib Prisoner Abuse Story
The news media (at least the partisan news media) has had almost nothing to say about Iraq except for the pictures of the sexual perverts (who happened to get a job in the Army) abusing Iraqi and Arab prisoners. Your view of the war in Iraq may be different from mine. That's fine. But everything happens in a context. Before America came to Iraq, Abu Ghraib was a prison ran by Saddam Hussein's most loyal soldiers. The "abuses" that occurred under his watch cannot be compared to even the most disgusting pictures of our soon to be court-martialed soldiers.
The difference between America and the radical Islamists can be seen in the reaction to prison abuses. When America catches soldiers abusing prisoners the soldiers are disciplined (the first soldier court-martialed received one year of prison for taking the pictures of the abuse rather than reporting it.). When Saddam found out his soldiers had abused prisoners he gave them medals for following orders. To read about some of Saddam's most heinous abuse at Abu Ghraib and of America's untold story of kindness to his victims, see the following link:

What can you do? Probably the only big media network that would even think of showing Don North's documentary, Remembering Saddam, is the Fox News Network. To email Brit Hume at Fox News Channel hit the link below or cut and paste it to your email program. Ask Mr. Brit Hume (he is the most unbiased reporter on television in my opinion) to show Don North's documentary, Remembering Saddam, on his program, Special Report.
May God bless you all. ~Gary~ (5-21-2004)
