So what are we going to do on kickoff day? Our plan is roughly as follows:
Girls view game animation and divide up the game manual so that everyone reads a small section and presents it to the team. Maybe we can make the presentations more fun by having a powerpoint where each person gets a slide to list the most important notes from their pages.
Team photo and lunch
Simulate the game with human robots. What sorts of handicaps could a robot have? How can you manipulate the game pieces? Who would be the best robot?
Discuss general game strategy. How can you earn points? How can you deny others points? How could you work with other robots?
