Our baseplate goes off to the water jetting machine tomorrow! We have also started machining parts for our chassis and the chassis CAD is complete. The big change from last year is the brackets that go over our wheels. We put in these brackets so that we could mount our superstructure as wide as possible (and in the final design there is actually just one large bracket per side).
Nuestra placa base va a la máquina de chorro de agua de mañana! También hemos empezado el mecanizado de piezas para nuestro chasis y el chasis CAD se ha completado. El gran cambio respecto al año pasado son los soportes que van sobre las ruedas. Ponemos en estos soportes, de modo que podríamos montar nuestro superestructura lo más amplia posible (y en el diseño final en realidad hay sólo un gran soporte por lado).
Because I have been working primarily on CAD, I do not have many pictures of recent prototyping (and if someone could send me images of the catapult and vertical roller intake that would be great). But I do have images showing how our flywheel prototype shoots:
