MIDDLE SCHOOL
2025-2026
2025-2026
Good afternoon,
This week starts our Fall Break. There is no school for students on Friday, October 10 or Monday, October 13. Enjoy the time with family and friends.
To continue our partnership in keeping the kids safe online and adhering to our school policies, I am providing a link to the Shorecrest Responsible Use Policy (RUP). This policy and the AI policy are embedded in the Middle School Handbook. Please review this policy closely with your student and sign the acknowledgement that they have read the RUP. Please make sure you have reviewed and signed this with your student by Thursday, October 9.
Please review this policy closely with your student and sign the acknowledgement that they have read the RUP.
Once they have read the policy, they will need to login to FACTS Family Portal using their Shorecrest email and password at https://sps-fl.client.renweb.com/pwr/.
Once they are logged in, they should access School > Web Forms > MS Policy Acknowledgements

A virtual event for all Shorecrest parents/guardians geared towards 7th and 8th graders to learn more about the opportunities ahead in 9-12th grades at Shorecrest. During this event, Shorecrest families will hear from members of the Upper School Administration and the College Counseling Office about the various academic and extracurricular opportunities available for students in the Upper School and the benefits of Shorecrest's four-year college counseling program.
This semester a few lucky fourth and fifth grade students will compete for prizes during select home football and volleyball games.
Fifth grade students were chosen randomly to compete in a Serve Challenge between sets at the Middle School Gold Team Volleyball game on Tuesday, October 7. The game starts at 4pm.
Randomly chosen fourth graders will get to do a Punt and Pass Challenge at halftime at the Varsity Football game on Thursday, October 9. The game starts at 6:30pm.
Six boys and six girls from each of the grade levels will compete for prizes, silly Sparky photos and more. Everyone is invited to come out and cheer on our Shorecrest athletes and our Shorecrest Lower School and Middle School students! Look for more fun competitions throughout the year at various sporting events.
These halftime competitions are generously sponsored by SPOCS Orthodontics, Dr. Ahmed Mansour.
Pathfinders is next week. Please make sure you have turned in all the permissions slips.
We will be holding an informational Parent Meeting about the trip to St. Augustine on Tuesday, November 4, at 6pm in Mrs. Berland's theatre classroom (MSAS 101).
Families should have received a link to view photos directly from Mr. KamraMan, the yearbook photographer. Purchases may be made online.
Every once in a while photographs from Picture Day do not come out well, or students are absent on picture day. We will have picture retakes on Wednesday, October 29. A registration link for retakes will be sent later this week directly from Mr. KamraMan, and if your student was absent they will be registered to be photographed on retake day automatically.
Have a great week,

Khana Rebman is excited to tell you more about the trip she's planning with EF Tours, an educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for the info session on Wednesday, October 22, from 5:30-6:30pm to be considered for this opportunity: https://rsvp.eftours.com/vxmns6d
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.
In this info session, we’ll talk about:
How this opportunity will benefit your student
What we’ll see and do on our trip
Everything that’s included in this experience
How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period
There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
Please note this is a non-school sponsored trip.
The Shorecrest Babysitting List is a list of Upper School students who are open to babysitting younger Shorecrest students. The list includes their full names, contact info, and any relevant babysitting / background information. This information is provided annually as a service to Shorecrest families and is not intended to be shared outside of our school community.
While Upper School student babysitters often appreciate referrals, please ask the student for permission before sharing their contact information with outside parties. Login to the Shorecrest Community Site with your Shorecrest-assigned login credentials to access the Shorecrest Babysitting List. The link will also be available in the Shorecrest Parent App.
