This Wednesday we will be administering the PSAT 8/9 (Grade 9) and the PSAT (Grades 10-11). Students have been assigned classrooms to take the all-digital exams. Students and families received their room assignments in an email from Dean Frey. They should be in their assigned rooms by 8:30am. The tests should conclude by 11:30am for students with standard time and roughly 1pm for those students with College Board approved extended time. Students are welcome to stay for lunch but are dismissed at the conclusion of their test.
Please help us remind students that their laptops must be fully charged and they should bring the charger with them on that day. We also encourage all of our test takers to get a good night's sleep!
Meanwhile, the Seniors will report to the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club. Please note the following details:
The event starts at 10:30am, Seniors must arrive by this time. Attendance will be taken.
The event ends at 1pm. Should you need to leave before this time, please have a parent/guardian email Dean Alexander directly. salexander@shorecrest.org
Lunch will be served from Fresh Kitchen.
PARKING: Seniors should consider carpooling. There is a grass lot where you can park if the spaces in the lot are full.
Additional street parking is available around Mirror Lake, but may be limited to 2 hours or may be pay to park, be mindful of where you park!
There will be a brief lesson on how to play shuffleboard and then they are free to team up.
In addition to the courts we have rented, there will be plenty of space for Seniors to practice their Homecoming Cheer, football, or do any other planning for Homecoming Class Competition Day.
