MIDDLE SCHOOL
2025-2026
2025-2026
Good afternoon,
Last week I reached out to everyone via email regarding monitoring your student’s technology. As you know, the challenges our students face are ever changing and quite challenging. It is very hard to stay up to date on all of the new apps and artificial intelligence (AI).
To continue our partnership, I am linking my letter from last week in case you missed it. I am also providing a link to the Shorecrest Responsible Use Policy (RUP). This policy and the AI policy are embedded in the Middle School Handbook.

Shorecrest Responsible Use Policy (RUP)
Please review this policy closely with your student and sign the acknowledgement that they have read the RUP.
Once they have read the policy, they will need to login to FACTS Family Portal using their Shorecrest email and password at https://sps-fl.client.renweb.com/pwr/.
Once they are logged in, they should access School > Web Forms > MS Policy Acknowledgements
This week we continue our friendship focused workshops with the students. The Friendship Coach returns and the Navigator’s Course will be engaging in an engineering project based on a real world scenario.
Please read the All School news carefully. There are a number of dates coming up in October that pertain to Middle School families.
Have a great week,
Kris Grant

We are asking families to be mindful that we have many students with peanut and tree nut allergies which are life threatening. Please refrain from sending any peanut and or tree nut products to school for the safety of all the students. This includes but is not limited to peanut butter, Nutella, and granola bars containing any kind of nut. Thank you!
The Shorecrest Babysitting List is a list of Upper School students who are open to babysitting younger Shorecrest students. The list includes their full names, contact info, and any relevant babysitting / background information. This information is provided annually as a service to Shorecrest families and is not intended to be shared outside of our school community.
While Upper School student babysitters often appreciate referrals, please ask the student for permission before sharing their contact information with outside parties. Login to the Shorecrest Community Site with your Shorecrest-assigned login credentials to access the Shorecrest Babysitting List. The link will also be available in the Shorecrest Parent App.
ALL STUDENTS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN A WINTER SPORT MUST BE CLEARED THROUGH THE ATHLETIC CLEARANCE SYSTEM* 72 HOURS BEFORE THEIR FIRST PRACTICE. Click here for the Athletic Clearance Guide to help you with this process.
*The Athletic Clearance system is used for collecting athletic physicals and other important Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) information for student participation in sports.
