Our workshops and ADHD support group are designed with disabled students in mind but you do not need to have declared a disability to the university, or be registered with the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service (DDSS) to attend. You are welcome to join us if you are in the process of seeking a diagnosis, or questioning if you have a disability. Our workshops are open to students at all levels of study including post-graduates and research students.
The Specialist Mentors have many years of experience working with students and we use these sessions to share our knowledge. Some parts of the session are interactive using an app on your mobile phone which keeps responses anonymous, and there are opportunities for questions and discussion if you wish. Students who attended previous sessions said they valued the opportunity to meet other disabled students, share their experiences and feel part of a community.
Further information about the workshops and how to register can be found by clicking the banner below. We offer a mix of online and in-person workshops.
Along with the Specialist Mentoring Workshops and Groups, there is additional support available for disabled students at the University of Sheffield. Please click the banner below for more information.
