YEAR 11 Physical Education
Aims
To develop in learners an awareness of their own physical ability, introducing them to new activities and to the scientific knowledge associated with exercise and physical activity. Human anatomy, sports biomechanics and exercise physiology are emphasised. Learners will be reflective of their practices throughout the year and have the opportunity to engage in leadership and enhance interpersonal skills. Physical Education is only an option at year 11, this means if students do not choose to take this as an option they will not have any PE in their timetable.
