Aims

Use spoken and written language with increasing control and confidence
Communicate effectively using body language, movement, and space
Explore linking imagination, thoughts, and feelings through purposeful solo and collaborative play

Drama Creation - Use dramatic elements, techniques, and conventions

Drama Performance - Make critical judgements about how meaning is created in their own and others work

Drama Creation - Research, evaluate and refine ideas in a range of dramatic forms

Drama Perspectives - Explore drama's purposes and forms in past and present contexts, including New Zealand

In class formative and summative assessments

English, History, Music, Dance, Design, Photography, Art, Media, Psychology, Health

Year 9 and/ or Year 10 Performing Arts or equivalent would be an advantage

NCEA Drama Level 2

Course contribution: $60 indicative amount, may be subject to change.

Attending a live performances, script purchases, costume/prop hire/purchase.

Comfortable non-uniform is advised.

An unruled A4 activity book is useful in this learning environment.
