Content
Drama Techniques - integrate and analyse drama tools and technologies to serve specific purposes
Devising work - critically evaluate and refine ideas to generate original drama work
Performance - rehearse and perform works in a range of dramatic forms, reflect on a range of performances
Research - research how drama interprets, records, or challenges social and cultural discourse, reflect on a range of performances
Assessment
This course is comprised of a variety of internal and external standards (listed below). Performances range in scale - with an opportunity for at least one evening performance. A brief portfolio with performance intentions and an annotated script supports the performance process. The examination will require learners to reflect on a live performance they have seen in 2026.

Full course completion – 18 credits in NCEA Drama
