Content

Drama Creation - Select and use dramatic elements, techniques, and conventions in a range of dramatic forms

Drama Performance - Perform and respond to drama making critical judgements about how meaning is created in their own and others work

Drama Creation - Research, evaluate and refine ideas in a range of dramatic forms to develop drama

Drama Perspectives -Investigate the forms and purposes of drama in different historical or contemporary contexts including New Zealand drama

Assessment

In class assessments, school examinations and one NCEA standard

Prior knowledge required

Year 9 and/ or Year 10 Performing Arts or equivalent would be an advantage

Attending a live performances, script purchases, costume/prop hire/purchase.

Comfortable mufti is essential to move freely in this class - Active wear/thermals and gym shoes/canvas/jazz shoes are necessary course equipment.

A visual diary, a computer and a memory stick are useful tools in this learning environment.
