Book Week Lower and Infant School Assemblies
We presented our version of "Waiting for the Biblioburro" by Mónica Brown in two formats: Play and Shadow Theatre.
The Shadow Play was presented in the Lower School Assembly, and for the Infant School Assembly we performed a regular Play.
We told the story of Ana, a girl from Colombia who loved stories but had only one book, which she read every time. Until one day, a man called Luis Soriano came to her village with his donkeys Alpha and Beto, both of which carried a moving Library called "The Biblioburro".
We are thankful for the help provided by the Theatre Department!
You can watch the Shadow Theater play in the link below.
BOOK FAIR 2022
The Book Fair was a smashing success! It ran from the 19th to the 21st of April in the Rose Garden. The children were so motivated by the variety of stories, authors and genres. Thanks to all our providers and their incredible selections!
BOOK WEEK WORKSHOPS
Lower School students developed their imagination in the Create Your Own Book Workshop.
The children have been using different strategies to come up with interesting stories: using story starters, asking questions, brainstorming and more.
They are now choosing a colour palette to design the illustrations of their stories and once they finish their books they will start the cover and the binding process!
They are showing so much creative thinking 😊 we are amazed at their courage for creating!
Make Your Own Bookmark Workshop
Once again creativity flowed in the Library in this Bookmark workshop. Lower and Middle School students joined in and created amazing bookmarks!
BOOK WEEK ACTIVITIES
CAS students organized and performed a very entertaining PUPPET SHOW! The Lower School children really enjoyed it and they attracted the biggest crowd ever!
Here's a little snippet of the Puppet Show
WAX MUSEUM
The Wax Museum is a beloved event that we hadn't been able to enjoy during the past two years due to COVID restrictions, but this year it made a successful comeback, with 11th and 12th Grade students performing different scenes with the help and guide of the Theater Department.
They delighted everyone with their costumes and interpretations!
