We've created a new section in our Website to feature all of the wonderful creations from our Makerspace Club! It will also contain some tutorials and instructions to try these activities at home!
You will find the first tutorial clicking HERE!

We are so happy to be back to our Library and be surrounded by books again! We've all been expecting this moment for months!
However we are back, times have changed and we are changing with them. During COVID times we are implementing some changes in our Library Protocols to ensure the safety of our visitors and our Library team.
Please read carefully all the information we are about to disclose:
📍We will be functioning with a "Closed Shelf System", this means only librarians will have direct access to the books.
📍If you want to check out books, you need to browse through our catalogue: Alexandria. There are two ways to access: through the school website (Biblioteca section) and through the library website (link in the profile). Then you can give a list of the titles you want to borrow and your librarian will get the books for you!
📍The only entrance available is the MAIN ENTRANCE (in front of the casino), the rest of the library doors will remain blocked.
📍For this reason the FRONT DESK will be located in the 1st floor of the library, next to the main entrance. The Upper Library will remain with a closed shelf: there will be an upper library desk available in the first floor for specific High school inquiries.
📍 The maximum capacity for the front desk is of "2 visitors", if there are already 2 visitors inside the library you will have to wait your turn outside.
📍 This means that the library will not be used for recreational or study purposes 😥 Only borrow/drop off
📍There will also be a BOOK DROP station in reception: all books should be delivered in sealed bags, following safety protocols, and each package must be labeled: destination (library or bookstore), and name.
📍We will have alcohol gel hand sanitizer available for all our visitors to use before/after handling books.
If you have any questions about our protocol do not hesitate to send us an email at biblioteca@scollege.cl
We love spooky season in the Library! Spooky displays, scary readalouds and fun activities!
Although this year we couldn't celebrate it as we always do, we wouldn't miss the chance to organize some activities for our community, so... We invite everyone to participate in our Halloween Activities!
Halloween readalouds ALL WEEK, a Halloween Short Film contest for Highschool, Halloween Short Story contest for Middle School and a Halloween Digital Parade for Lower School! For more information about the activities, go check out our instagram page!
¡Tiki tiki tii!
Starting in August 2020 we will be dedicating a space of our Library website to a collection of Readalouds for our Upper and High School students, so that they may also enjoy and engage in story telling and poem reading!
Readalouds have proven to be a fantastic tool for students to engage in reading, in fact, reading aloud helps students to:
Sharpen their focus
Increase their vocabulary
Develop a greater reading comprehension
Improve their listening and reading skills
We hope you enjoy this section!
You can access through this link or scrolling down the Upper & High submenu!
Happy reading!
