We are sad to announce that German-American writer, illustrator and designer of children's books, Eric Carle, passed away a few days ago.
We love Eric Carle in our library and his books are amongst the favourites in our Lower Library. Who doesn't remember reading the story of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "The Grouchy Ladybug", "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See?", "The Mixed Up Chameleon" and many more?
We will remember this author and treasure his books, his gifts to the world of children's literature!

We got to know about the books that changed the lives and marked the childhoods of our teachers and staff! BOOKS THAT MARKED YOUR CHILDHOOD was a lovely activity that compiles the written and visual testimony of our community. It was so touching to hear about the deep conection we can develop with books and stories and how these stories accompany us through the course of all our lives!
We held, not one, but TWO Literary Quizzes through our Instagram page! And you all got the opportunity to demonstrate all of your literary knowledge by answering questions related to universal Literature.
And last but no least, we organized a BOOK CHARACTER COSTUME CONTEST in which every student is invited to dress up as their favourite book character! We have received wonderful submissions for the contest and we will be publishing the contestant's pictures on Instagram for them to collect votes (Popularity prize)... Meanwhile, this week, the Library team will debate and select the winners for each category... We wish you good luck!
Earth Day is about taking a moment to reflect about our planet and the impact we have in it. It is about taking meaningful action across a variety of important issues such as climate change, plastic and pollution, conservation and restoration of natural resources, etc. It is also a day to highlight the importance of science and education and the role of people and communities to make a significant change in our planet!
Be conscious, take action, make a change!
"Every year, millions of people across the globe recognize Earth Day by coming together to promote awareness and appreciation for the world." (National Geographic)
