This movie has gotten a lot of horrible and hateful reviews. Although, I do not disagree with everyone stating how they wanted a non-musical and more related to the first “Joker” movie, they very much missed the point. Joker Folie à Deux was depicting Arthur Fleck’s mind and how “musical” and “jolly” he wished everything was. How he lives in this imaginary land and gets a violent wake-up call that it very much is not. Personally, I enjoyed the musical aspect and jazzy undertones they provided to us. Lady Gaga never misses and I will defend that until my last dying breath. Should the movie have been 2 hours? Absolutely not! Do I think it deserves all the hate it is getting? It could have been much worse.
