Powder Puff
The 2024 Powder Puff game was sponsored by PYEA and all money collected was donated to Four Diamonds. It was a tough battle between the Junior (red) and Senior (black) teams. At the end of the game, the senior class pulled through and took the win with a score of 14-13. Senior Lexi Seymour scored both touchdowns and scored a winning conversion with Bryn Kleffel and Olivia Kraus. Junior Adi Leroy had a 50-yard touchdown pass to Mackenzie Bachman. Addie Becht scored a touchdown for the juniors and CC Reali and Meghan Wickersham had an interception. Congratulations to the senior team and to PYEA for raising over $1700.

Good luck in all you do- Once a panther, always a panther!
#PantherPride
Maggie Colon- Go to college and study criminal justice
Best Memory: Going to the Renaissance Fair my senior year
Advice: High school is definitely a challenge but it’s so important to remember everyone is human. We all make mistakes. Forgiveness is extremely important but not more important than your own well-being.
Miah Delinko- Attending Alvernia University to major is Nursing BSN and minor in biology. Future Plans: Air Force to be a critical care nurse and flight nurse.
Best Memory: Making relationships with all of my teachers and classmates. especially my piano class my senior year. Those classmates, Mrs. Makosch, and Mr. Deinninger who made me the person I am today. They truly have saved my life.
Advice: Be true to yourself. High school has a lot of opportunities for you to go the wrong way, but you need to be true to yourself and try something new, who knows, that one thing you were once scared to do, could change your life!
Gweniveere Fell - Heading to the military for the next 8 years
Best Memory: meeting my friends and how much I accelerated through the years
Advice: Don't let what people say or do get in your way to success, the more you hold onto the past the more struggle you'll have getting to the future because you choose to keep that past in the back of your head. Don't let others have that affect on you no matter how emotional or caring you are no matter what your going to be judged by those around you, but what matters is what you focus on.
Aiden Konetsky-Attending St Bonaventure for a 4-year degree in Health Sciences with a focus in Kinesiology. Future Plans: attend medical school and obtain my doctorate of physical therapy.
Best Memory: Hanging out with friends and getting involved in sports.
Advice: To get involved in sports/clubs and make as many new friends as you can.
Alexis Seymour- Attending York College of Pennsylvania to major in nursing and run on the Cross Country and Track team.
Best Memory: I've been attending SV since Kindergarten, so I can't just choose one, there have been so many!!
Advice: Live in the moment! Every day is a chance to have the best day yet. Don't dwell in the past and don't worry too much about the future!!!!
Julia Yobb- Taking a gap year to go to a YWAM Discipleship Training School. Future Plans: A career inside the realm of agriculture.
Best Memory: There are so many, but if I had to choose, I would probably say Mini-Thon. There's just something about going to an event packed with fun activites to hang out with your friends, with testing over and summer around the corner.
Advice: Start applying to scholarships as soon as possible. I waited too long, and now I'm stressing about trying to get some in only a small time period.
Gabby Yocum- Going to Penn State for a dual cert in special education/early education.
Best Memory: Messing around in strength class
Advice: Don't let what people say or think about you affect what you're doing, and certainly don't be afraid to cut off the people that only bring you down.
Chloe Zimmerman - Attending Millersville to study special education
Best Memory: There is a lot of good memories at SV that it’s hard to narrow it down. I would have to say that one of my favorite memories at the elementary school was every time after field day. We would get popsicles but it would be the busy ones. I remember I would have to find a friend to break mine with and we would eat it right outside the entrance.
Advice: I would say that it goes to fast. I know that sounds cheesy and everyone says it but it does. Also not to think about what others think to much. We are already are worst critics. So don’t let what someone else say about you bring you down because your beautiful. Keep living for you and you matter.
Jacob Zimmerman- Attending Kutztown university to study Business and Finance
Best Memory: Playing basketball and Volleyball
Advice: Enjoy your high school years
