Women's History Month
It is Women’s History Month, which is a perfect time to honor and recognize our journey. For a long time, women were viewed strictly as nurturers. They would raise their family while their husband was off at work. Not anymore! We have integrated ourselves into the workplace. CEOs, scientists, politicians, musicians, you name it. There is nothing that you can’t do.
Many women have inspired and paved the way for others. Susan B. Anthony, Marie Curie, and Amelia Earhart are just a few of those thousands. Their acts range from fighting for equality to discovering something new. They are a piece of our history that has assisted in shaping the modern-day world. As days pass, more women contribute to the list of our accomplishments.
For the remainder of this month, take a moment to appreciate some of the significant women in your life.

Celebrating Easter
Easter is a widespread celebration, but what’s the meaning behind it? Lent is the forty-day period leading up to Easter Sunday. It starts on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Thursday, also known as Maundy Thursday in some denominations. Some Christians set intentions for the forty days to improve themselves and strengthen their faith. Whether it’s giving up something like chocolate or saying a specific prayer every day, these little acts help them practice resisting temptation and strengthen their relationship with God. The last Sunday of Lent is Palm Sunday where some Christian churches hand out blessed palms. The significance of these palms is remembering when Jesus went into Jeruselum several days before his death. The people of Jerusalem cut off palm branches and laid them on the ground as Jesus walked over them and they celebrated him. Christians believe that on the third day, he rose from the dead which is Easter Sunday. After going through a period of mourning his death, Christians celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and life. Ultimately, Christians believe that Jesus has saved everyone and it’s a Christian’s job to spread the word of God and become closer to him each and every day. Easter is a time for hope and new beginnings. Getting time off to regroup and spend time with family is truly a blessing and something we should never take for granted. Take this upcoming time to reflect upon your blessings in life. Spend some time with those you love and eat some Easter treats!
