Decoration Ideas for the Holidays
Tis the season to be jolly fala-lalala-lala-la, Christmas time is back once again this holiday season how do you spread joy and laughter amongst each other? This time of year is seasonal with incense and the marvelous smells in the air. To top this topic off why not add some decorations to get in the holiday spirit? I’m sure you have your own way of decorating and sometimes these decorations are special and meaningful in some time of way. To begin, I will start with some traditional decor first. Some traditional oriental things could include ornaments I love a nice modern ornament. Other decoration Ideas can be putting a tinny package of present ornaments together and putting them on your door perhaps. Finally, two really inspiring Ideas can be a favorite verse on a piece of work or a picture of your family on a piece of bark.

Holiday Recipe Column
Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
2 cups pumpkin mash
¾ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ginger
⅜ teaspoon cloves
¾ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 ½ cup milk
Directions:
-Mix ingredients together in order
-Use an egg beater to mix
-Pour into pie shell
-Bake till not jiggly
Temps:
450 degrees for 15 mins
350 degrees for 45 mins or until not jiggly
Sour Cream and Coconut Cookies
Ingredients:
1 ½ cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup sour cream
⅔ cup softened shortening (butter or margarine)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup coconut
Directions:
-Add flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in a bowl
-Cream your shortening and add sugar until light and fluffy
-Beat in eggs with egg beater and add vanilla
-Add dry ingredients, sour cream, and coconut
-Drop the batter via spoon on a greased cookie sheet or nonstick pan
-Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown

Pumpkin Cake Roll
Ingredients:
Pumpkin roll:
3 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
⅔ cup cooked pumpkin
¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
Filling:
1 cup 10x confectoiner sugar
6 ounces cream cheese softened
4 tablespoons margarine
½ teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Pumpkin outside:
-Beat eggs at high speed for 5 minutes
-Beat in sugar
-Stir in pumpkin
-Mix together flour baking powder, cinnamon, and salt
-Fold into pumpkin mix
-Spread on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper
-Bake for 15 minutes 375 degrees
-Roll out on a towel sprinkled with 10x sugar
-Roll cake and towel together
-Chill
Filling:
-Combine and beat until smooth
-Unroll cooked pumpkin roll
-Spread filling over cake
-Roll cake without towel and chill
-Put in aluminum foil, keep refrigerated
Temperatures:
375 degrees for 10 minutes
