A-Level RS - Transition Task/s:
Here are a list of tasks we'd like you to complete in order to prepare for the A-Level Philosophy, Ethics and RS course.
Week 1: "Mini Me"
Find, know and record information on a Fe/Male Key Thinker and create a "Mini Me" - if possible using the Gingerbread template, for future display purposes.
(aka: A biography about that Philosopher - Who are they? What branch of Philosophy are they interested in, what are they known for? When/ where did they live? Do they feature in our A-Level course - How? Where? Etc.)
Week 2: Film'osophy
Here are a selection of films that we'd recommend you watch to further develop your knowledge, understanding and curiosity of key issues, topics and thinkers involved within A-Level Philosophy, Ethics and RS.
The Good Place is on Netflix - The Little Buddha can be found on YouTube. Ask family or friends if they have The Matrix or The Truman Show on DVD or try other (legal) streaming services.

Week 3: TED Talk/s

Guille-Alles has a decent selection of books on philosophy, ethics and Buddhism - and the novel Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder is a great soft introduction to philosophy for novel-lovers.
