Physical Education and Sports Science

Context

There has never been a better time to study Physical Education and Sport Science. Both the A Level and IB course are incredibly relevant and up to date. You will explore Applied anatomy and physiology, Skill acquisition, Sport and society, Biomechanical movement, Sport psychology, Sport and society and the role of technology in physical activity and sport.

Many students find the jump from GCSE to IB or A Level Physical Education a positive challenge. There is a lot of detail and vocabulary to learn which the student must be able to apply to sporting situations in order to access the top grades. The following resources, websites, documentaries and online courses have been carefully selected to help students with the transition from GCSE to Advanced Level study. The online courses are particularly valuable, as they could also be added to your personal statements or curriculum vitae (CV) for University or Employment.
