International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

DP CORE

If you are taking the Diploma Programme there are THREE elements to your CORE:

1 Theory of Knowledge - a critical thinking course investigating what knowledge means across different areas. There are some introductory activities for this element here.

2 Extended Essay - 4,000 word researched essay on a topic chosen by you.  This process starts in January of Year 12 and is completed by October of Year 13.  There are no transition tasks for this element.

3 CAS - Creativity, Activity, Service.  This is a very rewarding part of the core and you will be introduced to it fully in September. There are no transition tasks for this element.
