Zeros (or roots)
Zeros (or roots)
Definition:
- The values, x, in the domain of a function, f , at which f(x) equals zero. Note: This unit intends domains to be the set of real numbers for which the values of the function studied are also real.
Example:
- 3x − 6 equals zero when x=2, because 3(2)−6 = 6−6 = 0
