Correlation Coefficient

Definition:

• A number between -1 and +1 that measures the degree to which two variables are linearly related. A correlation coefficient of +1 corresponds to a perfect linear relationship with positive slope between the variables, and a correlations coefficient of -1 corresponds to a perfect linear relationship with negative slope between the variables.
