Translation

Definition:

• A translation is moving a point or a set of points up and/or down some amount of units.

Here's the notation for translations.

• The T stands for translation
• The <x, y> means to move your preimage x-units and y-units

So this means "The translation of triangle ABC moved x-units and y-units is the triangle A'B'C'.
