Unconscious or implicit biases are social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form outside their own conscious awareness. Everyone has them about different identity groups. These biases stem from our brain's tendency to organize by categorizing. Sometimes these biases cause harm to other people so creating an awareness about common biases can help us recognize our blindspots.
You can make an IMP∆CT by challenging your assumptions.
