ABOUT ME
Hi! My names Lucia, I'm a third trimester student at SAE institute. I'm studying a Bachelors in Graphic Design and Visual Communications.
Through out my life I've been a creative and artsy person, always creating in and out of school, working on hundreds of personal artworks and projects. During High-school I got the opportunity to take a Design course, and fell in love with the creative process and what I could create.
I'm striving to continue to develop my design skills, constantly learning and trying new things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone to create something truly amazing!
Project 1 - Portfolio Magazine
For our first project we had to develop our own personal graphic and create a portfolio to put all of our project work into. I wanted mine to reflect how I like to create and who I am as a person, but as we continued to work over the trimester I ended up redesigning mine 2 times before settling on a design that felt like me.
Style Inspiration
I wanted to put everything that I find joy and inspiration into my collage, which turned out to be lots of cartoons, anime and video games. While also taking some pieces from arts and crafts which is a huge part of my personal life and hobbies.
Taking my ideas I used in my personal Collage, I decided on a cute fun and bubbly concept for my foliozine.
I want to give people the same joy and fun i get when I look at the things I love, so I decided to use themes of sticker book, colouring in books, and cute girly magazines as my inspiration.

Mini Style Guide
I wanted to create a mini style guide i could work off of so I could begin crafting my folio, while also still being able to add in extra elements and ideas along the way.
I also decided on creating a little character that can follow the reader through the foliozine and help explain my work and process. Not only to engage the reader and have fun but also to organise my own thoughts and ideas and so nothing gets lost while I'm working.
I decided to make her a little fox girl, because of many different things that I've associated with my self. I used the animal elements from my first Pokemon Starter Fennekin, the warm and comforting colours of fire and magic (because my start sign is fire) and the cute style from own preferred art style.

Folio Development - 2nd Iteration
After Completing our second project, I went back and decided to start from scratch for my folio and took inspiration from things that make me inspired. That meant looking at Centaurs, mystical projects and fun fantasy themes.

Project 2 - Beer Can Design
Inspiration
Black Swan
Unique to WA
Iconic animal
interesting shape + colours
I started with the idea of the beer can being inviting and fun with a simple design that anyone could resonate with, so this simple art style was a great source of inspiration.
Development
I originally started sketching out fairy penguins seeing as they're cute and a sort of universal animal while also being an interesting part of Perth. After talking with my lecturer about were i was going, She pushed me in the direction of doing a swan instead. Seeing as its a unique part of the WA flora and fauna.

Can Concepts
After presenting my first can designs to my peers, I got some great feedback on what designs they liked the most and some different suggestions for how I can us it in my final design. Most people ended up liking design 4 the most, saying they liked the mood and atmosphere the design created.

Project 3 - Album Cover Redesign
Chosen Album
Something for thee Hotties
Released on October 29, 2021
"The compilation serves as a collection of some of her previously-released YouTube freestyles, as well as previously unreleased archival songs"
Album Cover Analysis
The reason she created this album was to give back to her fans that have supported her over the years. She has been rapping ever since she was in high school, it's been her life for so long that she wanted to give thanks to all the support she's been given over the years. It is a compilation of re-released freestyles and unreleased songs.
She has stated before that her performing persona is a 'Sex-positive gangster'. She is a confident, passionate, loving, and strong woman. She takes pride in her background and where she's from, and takes a lot of her inspiration from her life experiences and black culture.
She wants to create music she would wanna listen to, music that moves people and makes an impact.
She often puts herself on display, as a naturally beautiful and sexy woman. Most of her album covers are photo shoots of her with lots of symbolism and style, that set the tone and mood for the listening experience you're going to have.
While at first it looks like Megan is using devil imagery, which is used to symbolise evil and deception. Megan is actually using succubus imagery, she did this most likely to symbolise her deep passion and sexuality, a true depiction of her rapper persona.
