Skill Set: Surface Environment Artist
As team leader I was in charge of maintaining organisation within group members and to make the big decisions when things became difficult.
I was also in charge of building the world within Unreal Engine despite it being my first introduction to the software, I created the environments while sticking closely to the concepts created by myself and the rest of the team members, this involved programming lighting, audio and scenery changes, sourcing assets to fill the scenes and texturing the surfaces of each scene.
My Specialisation is surface artist so throughout this trimester I was learning basics of creating materials within substance designer and applying them to scenes within unreal some of which you'll see in our environmental storytelling project After Life.

Skill Set: Animator
As lead 3D Animator and Concept Artist, I created all animations for the dog spirit.
I chose 3D Animation as a specialization this trimester, and practiced animating with both biped and quadruped character rigs. To aid my practice I studied realistic and stylized animation styles, as well as referencing my own performances. I used the knowledge and skills I learned throughout the trimester to create realistic creature animation cycles and scripted performances, this contributed to a recognizably dog-like dog spirit.
I also assisted in creating blueprint scripts for each animation sequence, so the spirit can act as a guide as you venture toward the Afterlife®.
Walk cycle.
Trot cycle.
Canter cycle.
