Time Capsule

Although there is no specific setting for these drawings, they were drawn in places around my house. My perspective drawing was of the corner between the front door and closet and the still life drawing was of my laptop with my glasses on top of it. I drew all these drawings using a graphite pencil on sketch paper. The pieces are mostly composed of lines; however, I did add some texture to the closet doors to make it look like wood.

I mainly used formal balance in all my drawings. These were also drawn in high key lighting as that was the only type of lighting available at the time. For the perspective drawing, I decided to draw the corner from halfway up the door to the ceiling to make it more focused on one thing.

I drew these because it was part of the Time Capsule assignment. This relates to me because I see these things every day. If I could I would revise I would revise the corner in my perspective drawing because it looks more like lines than a corner. To fix it I would angle the lines more. The same goes for my still life drawing as my glasses arms different from each other, so I would like to make them more symmetrical.
