Complimentary Color

Artist statement: For my photograph I wanted to put some meaning into my photograph but also capture my concentration. This shamrock plant has been in my family for many generations. When each women in a family leaves and starts their own family they get on shamrock and plant it and it turns into a whole new shamrock plant. This captures my concentration of nature also.

I like how this photo turned out although it is simple and straight forward. I like how when someone looks at it they don't get the meaning so the meaning is unique to me. I like how it turned out because of the angle and how you can see both the red and the green of the plant and the colors compliment each other. If i had to do this again i might take the picture up closer and maybe at a more complex angle.

Overall, I am really satisfied by my final photograph. I think this is because of the angle I took it at but also because I chose complimentary colors that aren't that popular like blue and orange. I think what really stands out to me is the fact that the shamrock has to different colored sides which I never knew, so this photograph taught me something.
