Pure Contour

Artist Statement: The artwork above is of 3 views of a shoe. I took a shoe and looked at it from 3 different angles to see how the lines interacted with each other. I then used a pencil to sketch the lines and to show where on the paper it was, I would use darker or lighter lines. Then, I would purify my lines by using a darker pencil and still showing the location of the object.
