Reedsburg's operational referendum passed on Monday. Reedsburg Features reporters are working on a more detailed story, to run soon, with community reaction.
In a press release, the School District of Reedsburg's Superintendent, Mr. Tom Burkhalter, said “I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our community for showing up and supporting our schools.This reflects a shared commitment to providing the best opportunities for our students.”
According to the press release, "the unofficial results indicate solid backing for the referendum, with 2,575 votes in favor and 1,858 against, although a few smaller municipalities have yet to report."
“This outcome tells us our community believes in our schools and the work happening every day for kids,” Burkhalter added in the press release. “It also gives us a more stable path forward as we manage our financial challenges.”
After a long anticipated wait, the Reedsburg movie theater project is up and rolling. Some could say it was stuck in pre-production... The Choraliers had a tremendous Home Show weekend on March 13 & 14, they rescheduled the Sunday show due to weather, but they still had an awesome turnout!

J’s Pub and Grill is hosting Chess Night every Monday starting at 5:30 p.m. It is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new people while enjoying great food and a welcoming atmosphere.
Reedsburg VFW Post 1916 holds its annual buffet breakfast every second Sunday of the month. The spread includes made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, homemade buttermilk pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and more. Pricing is $10 per person; children under 10 are $1 for each year of age. All proceeds support veterans and their families in need.
If you are interested in learning more about Reedsburg’s operational referendum, you can attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 4, at the Fusch Community Center from 9 to 10 a.m.
The School District of Reedsburg food market, "The Den," is a free resource available to all students, staff, and community members. Fueled by volunteers, The Den is open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ryan Hays, The Den coordinator.
The RAHS Forensics team is proving to be a powerhouse of dedicated performers. According to head coach and English teacher Nicole Bruer, the students have quickly evolved from curious explorers into a disciplined team of competitive speakers and actors. The District competition is Saturday, March 21. Students who achieve top scores will advance to the State Tournament in April. Read more in our featured article, “Forensics 2026.”
Reedsburg athletes are hitting their stride on the field, court, ice, and track. As winter sports conclude, a new season begins featuring girls soccer, softball, baseball, track, boys golf, and boys tennis. Find schedules and results in our full “Sports Update” article.
FFA: Members are currently preparing for Career Development Events on March 26 and the first annual banquet on March 22, featuring Wisconsin FFA Section 6 State Officer Brooke Luedtke.

Art Club: Members are currently focusing on creating prom decorations. You can also find them at the Sauk Co. Dairy Breakfast, where they will be providing face painting.

Scholarships: The Common Scholarship application on Kaleidoscope is due March 13 at 11:59 p.m. This is a vital step for any local scholarships, as this single application automatically enters you for most of them.
