The Community Update page is your central hub for upcoming events, competition results, and new local initiatives. It is a place to connect and learn more about the community where you live. To keep you informed, the newest stories and reports are located at the top of the page and organized chronologically. This is real news about your community, for you! Sports Report

Catch up on all the action in Beaver sports with Jack Meyer's weekly report. Also, be sure to look at Kallen Barker's weekly athlete feature. Local Eagle Scout

Molly Goff has spent a piece of childhood chasing a goal. The prestiges goal that only few can accomplish, Eagle Scout. Read all about her journey to get there on the article Finding Inner Strength.

Art Field trip

RHAS advanced art classes took their annual art field trip to Chazen Museum of Art in Madison on April 3rd. Here they were fortunate enough to view such a prominent platform for creative expression. Learn all about their adventure in the article  Art Field Trip of 2026 .

Prom Pop Up

National Honor Society's popular Prom Pop Up Shop is up and running as students prepare for the annual tradition. Check out the story on what inspires the idea behind the Pop Up Shop from reporters Anna Hirschinger and Tyler Asp.

Referendum Passes

Reedsburg's operational referendum passed on Monday. Reedsburg Features reporters are working on a more detailed story, to run soon, with community reaction. 

In a press release, the School District of Reedsburg's Superintendent, Mr. Tom Burkhalter, said “I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our community for showing up and supporting our schools.This reflects a shared commitment to providing the best opportunities for our students.”

According to the press release, "the unofficial results indicate solid backing for the referendum, with 2,575 votes in favor and 1,858 against, although a few smaller municipalities have yet to report."

“This outcome tells us our community believes in our schools and the work happening every day for kids,” Burkhalter added in the press release. “It also gives us a more stable path forward as we manage our financial challenges.”

Movie Theater 

After a long anticipated wait, the Reedsburg movie theater project is up and rolling. Some could say it was stuck in pre-production... The build is located on Viking Dr. featuring 6 screens, reclining seats, and sumptuous, soft-cushioned sofas for spectacular, star-studded screenings! Learn more about what is "Coming Soon"!

Choraliers

The Choraliers had a tremendous Home Show weekend on March 13 & 14, they rescheduled the Sunday show due to weather, but they still had an awesome turnout!

RAHS Happenings

• Student Council: Get ready for the bake sale happening March 18–19 during FLEX!

• Model UN: Nineteen students are gearing up for the Wisconsin High School Model United Nations (WHSMUN) competition at UW-Madison on March 19–20. Check out the story, Model UN 2026 for results!

Forensics

The RAHS Forensics team is proving to be a powerhouse of dedicated performers. According to head coach and English teacher Nicole Bruer, the students have quickly evolved from curious explorers into a disciplined team of competitive speakers and actors. The District competition is Saturday, March 21. Students who achieve top scores will advance to the State Tournament in April. Read more in our featured article, “Forensics 2026.”

CAL Center

The CAL Center is busy this month, so mark your calendars!

• March 19: RAHS Jazz Concert at 7 p.m.

• March 20: CAL Center Presents “The Linda Ronstadt Experience” at 7 p.m.

• March 24: RAHS Spring Choir Concert at 7 p.m.

• March 26: Spring Orchestra Concert at 6 p.m.

Chess Night

J’s Pub and Grill is hosting Chess Night every Monday starting at 5:30 p.m. It is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new people while enjoying great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

VFW Breakfast

Reedsburg VFW Post 1916 holds its annual buffet breakfast every second Sunday of the month. The spread includes made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, homemade buttermilk pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and more. Pricing is $10 per person; children under 10 are $1 for each year of age. All proceeds support veterans and their families in need.

Referendum Community Sessions

If you are interested in learning more about Reedsburg’s operational referendum, you can attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 4, at the Fusch Community Center from 9 to 10 a.m.

The Den

The School District of Reedsburg food market, "The Den," is a free resource available to all students, staff, and community members. Fueled by volunteers, The Den is open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ryan Hays, The Den coordinator.

Sports Update

Reedsburg athletes are hitting their stride on the field, court, ice, and track. As winter sports conclude, a new season begins featuring girls soccer, softball, baseball, track, boys golf, and boys tennis. Find schedules and results in our full “Sports Update” article.

RAHS Extracurriculars

• FFA: Members are currently preparing for Career Development Events on March 26 and the first annual banquet on March 22, featuring Wisconsin FFA Section 6 State Officer Brooke Luedtke.

• Student Council: Get ready for the bake sale happening March 18–19 during FLEX! Student Council is also running a March Madness bracket; join the fun by using the QR codes on posters around the building.

• Art Club: Members are currently focusing on creating prom decorations. You can also find them at the Sauk Co. Dairy Breakfast, where they will be providing face painting.

• Model UN: Nineteen students are gearing up for the Wisconsin High School Model United Nations (WHSMUN) competition at UW-Madison on March 19–20.

Senior Updates

• Scholarships: The Common Scholarship application on Kaleidoscope is due March 13 at 11:59 p.m. This is a vital step for any local scholarships, as this single application automatically enters you for most of them.

• Graduation is May 22nd!
