As Technology is widely used in society you will have the opportunity to use a range of equipment, and resources, and to gain an understanding of the world around you by investigating, designing and evaluating.
Each subject will involve students completing four folio tasks for the semester
TI 01 Introduction to ICT - Year 7 Compulsary Unit
In this semester-long course, you will discover how a computer works through investigation of computer and network hardware. You will create your own digital solutions to solve problems and develop your skills in the following computer applications:
• Microsoft Windows
• Microsoft Office
• Tynker programming language
TF 01 Exploring Food Year 8
Materials Cost: $50
We explore what is best practice in the kitchen. Working with a wide range of foods you will learn to select and prepare foods that promote good health and wellbeing. Whilst being hands on in practical classes an equal amount of time will be spent understanding the design process and about the nutritional concepts to promote healthy eating. There will be a focus on working with others in teams and following safe and hygienic food handling standards and practices.
Assessment Tasks:
Sensory Analysis - We will work towards developing the skills and knowledge to write a well-structured and detailed report about a food product.
Design and Produce - We design and produce a unique food product after investigating possible options.
Design and Evaluate - We design and evaluate another food product.
Exam - We demonstrate skills and knowledge learnt over the semester.
T1 03 STEM in the Real World
Year 8 First Semester, Year 8 Second Semester.
Material Cost $30
STEM in the Real World is a semester long course that exposes students to a variety of hands on learning activities using a range of technologies such as 3D printing, robotics, coding and construction of models. After following short courses in a range of topics, students will use these skills to solve a real world problem and create a solution.

TI 22 Game Development
Year 8 First Semester, Year 8 Second Semester.
Do you love video games? Have you ever wanted to make your own? If so, Game Development is the subject for you! Learn what makes a good video game, how to use game development software, and ultimately design and create your own video game in this semester-long course.

• Video game design
