Which languages can I study at Roxburgh College?
You have a choice of three:
TURKISH ITALIAN JAPANESE
You study the same Languages in Years 7, 8 and 9.
YEAR 7 and 8
In Year 7 and 8 you study four language units.
JA07 and JA08 for Japanese
LI01, LI02, LI03 and LI04 for Italian
LT01, LT02, LT03 and LT04 for Turkish
Year 9
In Year 9 you have to study a language for one semester, but you can choose to study it for two

In JA 07, you will have the opportunity to learn about the rich history of the Japanese culture. You will start by learning the basics in Japanese communication, including conversing with your peers about yourself, your family and friends, and your interests. Not only will you learn to read and speak in Japanese, but you will also learn about Japanese history as well as aspects of their culture such as cuisines and traditions.
